A Spiders Holiday Party

See that shiny new button on the right sidebar there? I’m officially a Spider (don’t know if it’s capitalized or not) now. The Spiders are a group of great NYC (and surrounding areas) knitters who meet regularly to share their obsessive love of the craft. And they’re really a talented bunch – each artistic in her own way – and horrible enablers. Between Ravelry and them, I’m finding it hard keeping my projects and stash in check! Among the possibilities are the

Of course, the next day, I found another cube in her shop that I had to have. I guess you can never have too many. They’re perfect for socks or for that manageable sweater piece.

Thanks so much, Cathy!

What a very nice christmas/welcome gift for you. It’s so nice to have a group to knit with. I only have my cyber friends to keep me company. All recruiting effords in my neighborhood failed sadly.

Yup, the Spiders go through trends pretty quickly! Lisa made the first Anemois, then I used Habu’s cashmere, then Jess did… I wonder what the next one will be! Perhaps you’ll have something to suggest?

Oooh! Knitting cubes! What a good idea.
I just found you again after a month or two of not seeing your posts- it turns out when I got my new laptop, I linked to one specific page of your blog, rather than the blog itself. No wonder I wasn’t getting updates!

    Hi Connie,
One of your designs called Tori…..***Cont shaping armholes to match back, and at the same time, dec 1 st at neck edges every 4th and 2nd row alternately 7 (8, 7, 6, 7) times more, then every 2nd row 7 (8, 10, 13, 13) times more–***
every 4th and 2nd row means dec 4th and then 2nd row? The next every 2nd row is mean neck edge?

    Thanks

    Hey Piggles,

I couldn’t access your blogger profile and you didn’t include an email in your comment so I’ll try to answer your question here:

Yes, every 4th row and then every 2nd row 7(8,7,6,7)
    – a total of 14 (16, 14, 12, 14) decreases on each
side — times more and then every 2nd row 7
(8,10,13,13) times all at the neck edge.

    Does that answer your question?
